I wanted an Alley Viper that looked like he could be invloved in Urban Warfare. The figure released by Hasbro concept wise was cool but proportion wise it was a horrid nightmare and is possbily one of the worst desgined figures to date. I tried something new with this custom that I hadn't done before. I did a drastic modification to the torso by extending it down about a 1/4" giving the figure some much needed height and better proprotions. I also took off the knife holster that was on the figure and modled my own. I then scrounged around for parts that I felt gave the figure a more Urban Swat look.

I chose Zartans lower arms because they really gave the arm pad look I wanted and I also chose to go with the higher jack boots for the legs since I felt that gave the figure a rather cool and imposing look.

I sculpted on a sidearm to his leg and some clips to his left leg since it always seemed odd that soilders who would be involved in close combat fighting woudln't have handguns as part of their equipment. To my knolwege none of the Alley Viper figures have any had sidearms.

I based the overall paint application on the Alley Viper's appearance in the comic and also the card art for the recent RAH re-issue.
