This project started out when i saw that the spy troops version of this great character was lacking in several respects, then it became a sort of holy mission once i gandered at the goofy new valor vs venom version...i was sooo dissapointed that i was compelled to try my hand at crafting a Zartan worth having. i went with the original file card's depiction & kept in mind, throughout this figure's creation, that this was not only The master of disguise, but also a hard rock leader of a biker gang who happens to live deep in a swamp.

i always liked the idea of zartan morphing into the different disguises & camoflage & in my head, he was always some sort of a shadow mage. When i painted this figures head, i tried to reflect this morphing shadow like ability. Zartan's eyes are glowing white..
