Other than some Zartans & his sister Zarana, I haven't made too many Dreadnoks. The thing is, (other than Zandar) I wanted to create some new Dreadnoks more than I wanted to redo the originals.

So, I gave Zartan a unique soldier, named Mindgate; a character that's been kicking around in my head for awhile.

Recruited in New York by Zarana, Mindgate posesses an ability to "tune in" to the whereabouts of a given target, allowing the Dreadnoks a global tracking system that is both mobile & cost efficient.

In order to utilize his special talent, Mindgate must have had recent contact with the target in order to "see" with any degree of clarity. Whether actually speaking with the person, or handling a personal item of the target, the more contact Mindgate gets to a person, the better he is able to track that person.

To prove his ability to Zartan, Mindgate is rumored to have watched a tape of the Cobra Commander over & over again for over three hours, before he was able to correctly pinpoint on a globe, where the leader of Cobra was at that moment. He went so far as to reveal that the commander was reading a book by someone named Sun Tze, which Zartan later verified.

I see this sort of character being kept in the background by Zartan, making full use of Mindgate's abilities while keeping him away from the dangerous Dr. Mindbender's list of research subjects.
