Head 1: Cobra Commander v1
Head 2: Cobra Commander (comic pack)
Lower Arms: Overlord
Everything Else: Cobra Commander v1

The comic book is my preferred Joe continuity, but the TV show character designs are what I consider to be definitive. Thus I have set out to create TV show-accurate versions of my favorite Joes and Cobras. One of those characters is Cobra Commander himself.

I shaved off the red stripe on his leg, as well as the knife (since on the show he inexplicably wore the two straps that held the knife, but not the weapon itself), and painted his upper belt gray. Overlord's gloves look exactly like the ones worn by Cobra Commander on the TV show, so I performed a "lower arm transplant" to give those gloves to the commander. I did not paint his undershirt light blue, because I like the contrast of the black, so I guess I could be accused of cheating slightly.

Finally, to avoid constant unscrewing and re-screwing, I gave him a peg sticking out of his neck to allow easy swapping between his battle helmet (to which I added a black line down the front and a white stripe on top) and his hood (which is admittedly non-TV show accurate, since on the show Cobra Commander's Cobra sigil was in a blue circle, not a white one-- but I'm not that good a painter).

I've provided side-by-side comparisons with the cartoon version of the Commander for anyone whose interested.
