The comic books are my preferred Joe continuity, but the TV show features my preferred character designs. This Destro had been a work in progress for about a year, originally using the head from Destro v3 and different upper legs, but when Hasbro released the Comic Pack Destro (based on the issue pencilled by cartoon character designer Russ Heath), he was finally complete! The head is perfect, featuring the oddly shaped eyes and the bolted neck from the show. All it needed were some black eyebrows to complete the package.

On the TV show, Destro peculiarly wore the two straps that held his holster on, but did not wear the holster itself. I currently only own one Destro v1, and I didn't want to ruin his legs, so the holster stays despite its absence on the show. Otherwise, he's about as TV show-accurate as you can get.

I've provided side-by-side comparisons with both my Cobra Commander figure (to see how this Destro towers over him), and cartoon Destro for anyone who's interested.
