After a run in with the law, Thrasher found his beloved Thunder Machine impounded and stripped. Thrasher could only handle riding a motorcycle with his fellow Dreadnoks for so long before he needed to be behind the wheel of something more destructive. Thrasher convinced some of his Dreadnok buddies to help steal a military Humvee.

Once back at their hide out Thrasher and Burn Out went to work creating a beefed up Thunder Machine. When it came time for the engine and front guns Thrasher called up a buddy at MARS that he did some work for in the past and arranged payment with his rich parent's credit card.
