The formula to create the disease that Dr. Venom invented was lost with Kwinn's grenade. Rather than expensively retracing his steps, Dr. Mindbender had the brilliant idea to simply recreate Scar-Face, a foolishly loyal soldier and a Typhoid Mary to the virus. In an experiment to rival Frankenstein, Mindbender took Scar-Face's mangled corpse from the morgue it resided in.

After a few more years of death, steroid treatment, and plastic surgery, Scar-Face, with his memory of Bludd's treachery wiped, was re-awaken. The virus still resides in his lungs, and upon activation, will begin the week-long countdown to contamination. Problematically, though, he is having flashbacks and vague memories concerning his death, and in his sleep, carved the Omega scar into his face again. Nevertheless, the poster-boy and walking time bomb of a soldier is a force to be reckoned with, like a cruel parody of Captain America for the Cobra legions.
