Base Figure: Spider-Man Classics Ultimate Lizard, heavily modified.
Tentacles: Marvel Legends Doctor Octopus (tips are from HEAT Viper v2 missiles)
In the annals of Joe collecting, few figures are lamer than the Mega Monsters. While Joe has always had outlandish concepts, they were usually backed up with solid molds (Serpentor, BATs, etc). In the case of the Mega Monsters they had both sub par sculpts, and far below average articulation. I'd long wanted to bring the Mega Monsters up to the level of the rest of the line, but until Marvel Legends and it's related lines there were no base figures in the scale I wanted with sufficient articulation. Now though, I've got a Bio Viper I not only love, but that I think brings some much needed respect to the idea. The entire torso and upper legs was resculpted (anything covered by the wetsuit) and the Lizard's tail had to be removed. I went with mechanical tentacles over biological ones equally because mechanical is what I had available and because it's what I prefer.
