This figure was created for the April 2006 Customization Contest over at JoeSightings, and is based on a character created by Sentinel of the same site in his fiction, "Thicker Than Water." My bio information is based on his work; however, I do not see the need for Cobra to control multiple clans of ninjas -- with a loyal Tommy by CC's side, Storm Shadow has delivered the "Red Ninja" faction from the Arashikage Clan. So, ultimately, the 'independent, mercenary' Night Creepers will fall within the Coil's clutches.
Known among the Night Creepers as "Taw," she is Aleph's brother and a member of their board of directors, as well as the Creepers' best interrogator. She uses psychological, emotional, and mental manipulation, aided by a pair of gloves that can target and stimulate the pain and pleasure senses of nerve endings, even though she has been trained in the standard array of physical torture. She is proficient in seven forms of martial arts and, when Zartan was unable to fulfill a contract himself, he agreed to teach Taw in disguise and sabotage in payment for the Night Creepers to complete the contract in his stead. Taw is fiercely loyal to her brother Aleph, and should he ever become incapacitated or missing, she has full authority for his proxy vote, assuring leadership in the Night Creepers.

Construction notes:
The 'mask' is a dremeled out Night Creeper head, which I think I got to fit pretty well on the figure's head. She has swivel wrists (to ensure she can place her gloves on the victim's face), and sculpted pads on the thighs to increase the similarity to the Night Creeper uniform. Notes on the photos were placed for benefit of the contest -- which I won second place, behind Matthew's version! What you can't read on the back is that the two shades of green are on purpose: I intended a velour-like effect where darker shades showed through depending on folds in the fabric or which way the garment was brushed.
