Colonel Venom (O-6) commands the Cobra Armor Legions. Since the H.I.S.S. drivers are Lieutenat Colonels (O-5) I felt it was necessary to have a commanding officer over them to coordinate the H.I.S.S. driver's armor companies in my Joe-verse.

Colonel Venom was a United States Military Academy graduate that fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom I. He commanded a tank company where his soldiers were commended for having destroyed the most Iraqi T-72 tanks in combat.

Colonel Venom defected from the US Army after his company command time due to the lack of further troop-leading opportunities in the US Army's officer career path.
