Glosscote

This was just an experiment I had to try. I stopped myself from doing this on the Rattler and just got the repro decals from Cobra Stickers.com.

They were gorgeous. These flat, matte, Scotch tape looking things were on the way to the garbage when I remembered I still had this Sky Sweeper gathering dust. I wanted to make it a Cobra jet and I wanted to see what using glosscote would do to those mate decals.

Once I had all of the horrid decals on I applied liberal amounts of Glosscote. Let dry and repeated. The decals look much better now. Not as good as the ones from Cobra Stickers, but nowhere near as horrible as they were.

I may have to go over my Rattler with glosscote after seeing how good this plane looks now, the new plastic is just too soft and dull looking. This reminds of getting one of the original vehicles and everything being all shiny and new.
