From the files of the Black Watch: "Baron Void appears to be the military mastermind behind the development of the Omega armies, rarely seen but always felt. He has personally dispatched numerous agents of both the Watch and various militaries and governments sent to infiltrate Omega over the years, utilizing his trademark style: a 9mm bullet to the forehead from the Luger he carries, followed by severing of the head, which is then mailed back to the agency which sent the operative.
His history of service is very long and marked by a trend toward serving the most despotic, evil leaders the world has ever known: eyewitness accounts and photographs show him to have been involved with despots such as Pol Pot, Stalin, Pinochet and perhaps best documented of all, with the German SS during WWII at the Nazi death camps at Auschwitz and Treblinka; it is with the SS that he seems to hold the most affinity. Described as sadistic and completely without conscience, he has been involved, directly and indirectly, with the death of countless innocents, and continues to do so to this day wherever Omega forces are present.
Very little about the Baron himself is actually known; he appears always in a military uniform, typically of the style worn by whatever military he is currently with (of note, his crimson uniform in this instance seems to set him apart from standard Omega forces in their shades of blue.). He is always masked; it's said none who have seen what lies behind the mask have ever lived to tell about it. His voice is described as "inhuman"; indeed, we do not believe him to be human at all, but a malevolent spirit, a dark entity crossed over from the Netherworld for the sole purpose of reveling in the sadistic destruction of life.
From the files of General Hawk: "Make no mistake, there isn't an ounce of humanity in the Baron. His favorite past time is setting fire to orphanages packed with children, then shooting them when they try to flee, and ordering the elderly and sick of villages Omega has overrun drawn and quartered while he watches. He shows no emotion in anything he does and is dangerously unpredictable under any circumstances. Any GI Joe operative who can get within striking distance of him is to shoot first and worry about consequences later-or you may not ever get the chance to do any worrying."
