The Red Vulture (who names these characters anyway? The Red Vulture drives a tank, and the Red Wave flies a helicopter) appears to be the front-line armor personnel among the Red Shadows' legions. Like other types of this group, the Vultures have undergone extensive post-hypnotic conditioning to ensure their loyalty to Baron Ironblood. The front grill mask is actually a fairly effective air filter, and is not cybernetic like seen in the Red Wave helicopter pilots we have witnessed.
