I never really liked the look of any versions of Destro after the original one. The first one was always the one I remember from the comic. However, I was pretty impressed with the new head sculpt Hasbro made with the comic packs, but hated the ridiculous GIGANTIC red collar!

I needed a muscular torso and found Burnout to be perfect. It took a while, but I cut off all of his barbed wire. I never really liked Burnout as a figure anyway and he ended up in my parts drawer the day I got him.

I always like using the neck ball that came with the figure, so I used Burnout's. I really like the look because you can see Destro's neck under his mask.

Strangely, my inspiration for this custom came when I looked at the leg of the Rock Viper. I always thought Destro's wrist rockets were never done with any justice. When I saw the Rock Viper, I knew I had my part.

Finally, I put a small plastic costume jewellery gem in his chest. Because it is pointy on the under side, I drilled out a small hole on the chest for the point to sit in. That worked out great because it gave me an invisible glue point. I want to give credit where credit is due. I borrowed that idea from Customizer "BrotherShane", who's Destro is fantastic.
