Scourge was once a man, a soldier. But in middle of a battle against Destro's army he was injured and left behind by his comrades. Destro and Voltar found him with no legs, left arm, and right eye and with a big bullet hole in his chest. However he was still trying to kill people, but he was trying to shoot his "friends", who leaved him behind.

Destro was beginning to test a new technology on bio engineering and took him. Judging by his ferocity and look for revenge. The project was much more sophisticated than the one who created Overkill. After a long process Scourge was born an efficient and loyal lieutenant for Destro's forces. He was been thankful for his new chance and life.

Nowadays you can see him leading the Iron Grenadiers on the field, workin' like a link between Destro's will, Voltar's determination and the troops.
