The Cobra Viper is the backbone of the Cobra military forces. This is the entry level into the combat ranks of Cobra. From here, troopers can move on to a wide variety of specialties.

The original Cobra Viper, in 3 3/4" scale, was my absolute favorite Cobra troop builder figure. I loved 'em! I think, at most, I had 26 Vipers!

(pause to weep for those vipers that have been sold...)

The 25th Version showed much promise and excitement amongst the collector community, but poorly sculpted hands resulted in the Viper languishing on peg-hooks with the likes of Buzzer and Hooded Cobra Commander!

Well, I've seen a 1/6th custom version of the Viper, most recently on coverage of the 2008 Joe Con and I decided to create my own. I couldn't match the custom that I saw due to lack of parts, but decided to go my own direction.

That's the beauty and fun of the GI Joe line and JoeCustoms. Customizers take a concept and put their own "spin" on characters.
