This playset happened because I found a discarded & unfinished model at the junkyard one rainy morning.

After painting it with several different colored washes, I glued on a Darth Vader's cockpit & a platform I took out of an R2-D2 carrying case.

I now had a big gun sitting on a shelf.

I then scrounged around the parts pile & grabbed some other toy pieces I hadn't figured out a use for & one by one, the outside of the Cobra Testing Facility fell into place.

I finally made good use of the discounted Cobra Mountain playset, by applying some of it's stickers on & around the cannon.

I intend to add on to this diorama, as appropriate pieces come into my possession.

For now, it has been both a good place to display my customized Cobra troops as well as an interesting background for shooting pictures of new custom figures.
