Since Cobra Island was determined to be a sovereign nation, Cobra Commander desided that they needed a law enforcement unit. Cobra Officers were picked to be the new Cobra Law Enforcement Division of Cobra Island. A sellect few of exceptional Cobra Officers were picked for a tactical unit called the E.S.U. or Emergency Services Unit. Similar to SWAT teams in other areas, Cobra Island ESU units are trained in law enforcement, medical triage, combat medicine, search and rescue, hostage negotiations, and counter terrorism (go figure?). Cobra Island ESU are trained by all combat schools on Cobra Island. They learn combat strategies at Viper Training, night ops and tracking at Night Viper Training. Explosive ordance handling and disarming at Tech Viper Academy. Vehicle combat skills at Motor Viper Training. Diplomacy and negotiations at Crimson Guard University. The CI ESU are trained in unarmed combat by both Storm Shadow and Big Boa. Overall, the CI ESU are the most well rounded units on Cobra Island.
