Design:

While this might be "another" Devil's Due character, it stands alone as having been created by Larry Hama (even if retroactively) as an original character from the inception era. I tried to give Shooter a more field-ready look than other figures.

In fact, I see this not as the (retroactively) original Shooter, but another soldier who took the codename decades later.

I originally worked the figure up using 25A Scarlett hair, which looked good, but didn't allow for the figure to have a backpack. As Shooter would have been in the field for a long periods of time, the backpack was a must so different hair was needed. The NS Scarlett hair worked even better, though it did need some building-up along the exposed ear.

As with the other 25A female customs I've made, it's just a matter of trying different combinations of the few female figures and then trying to disguise them.

The Snake-Eyes belt and Scarlett backpack/grenade bulk up the figure.

As a sniper, a ghillie suit was probably in order. However, vanity kept me from covering up the rest of the figure. When the newness of the figure wears off I might get around to making one.

Colors/Painting:

Low-light wears grey; Blackout wears black; Barrel Roll wears a blue grey flightsuit (and shouldn't even be a sniper, but I digress). For Shooter, I went with a large-block pattern camouflage in tropical colors. This also helps distinguish the pieces from the mostly Lady Jaye body, which is made of solid greens.

For the gloves and boots, I went with the dusty brown currently used for the boots in the Armed Forces. The warm color clashes with the cooler tones of the uniform. Figures that have an element or two out-of-place have a sense of realism.

The silver sunglasses and grenade would probably not be the best real world choices, but they help the lighter tones in the uniform "pop" a bit.

Sculpting:

As mentioned, the NS Scarlett hair is modified to work with the Baroness head.

The chest has an undershirt added. This takes away from the Lady Jaye look.

The wrists have been modified to appear as gloves.
