At the end of Chapter 1 of my comic diostory that I have completed and posted online, Cobra Commander gets killed off by his own troops...and the Overlord assumes command of Cobra.

In Chapter 5: Return to Power, the real Cobra Cobra Commander returns to challenge Serpentor, Destro and Overlord with the assistance of the Oktober Guard.

During the end of Chapter 4, the Night Force and Slaughters Marauders end up being no more...as Overlord and Serpentor launch a full scale assault on their headquarters.

Rumors have it that the original Cobra Commander had been living in the swamps of the Florida Everglades with Croc Master. Those are just rumors.
