Rest of body and helmet: Black-ops Wolverine from Origins line
Machinegun: Roadblock
Mortar: Snow Serpent
Pistol: Maurauder John

I picked up a bunch of the black-ops Wolverine figures from the Origins line back when those were on sale at two for nine ninety-nine. My logic was that they looked so much like generic blueshirt troopers that I would eventually have to come up with a way to turn them into army builders.

It was months later before it occurred to me how I wanted to use them. I hadn't thought about the C.L.A.W.S. since the old new-sculpt days and hadn't really appreciated how cool the concept was (I used mine as new-sculpt Techno-Vipers).

I figure these are Cobra Troopers given a little extra training and protective gear, as well as a fair chunk of money, to test experimental weaponry for M.A.R.S. Of course, they don't know they're glorified Guinea Pigs. They think they're being rewarded for their loyalty and skill as Cobra soldiers.
