Dark Matter
No one knows where exactly he came from or how long he has been. Legend has it that he was created from "Black Matter" by the world ender Galactus. Black Matter is the very substance from witch the Universe itself was created. The stories tell of one who is believed to be the first herald of Galactus, millennia ago. Given the power of Black Energy (as opposed to Cosmic Energy SS) this herald had a dark heart and did unspeakable things. Angering Galactus to the point he was stripped of his power and banished to the farthest reach of the known universe. Only a small bit of Black Energy remained in him and that was enough to regain his power by conquering one world at a time. The stronger his hatred grew for his former master the more powerful he became. He grew so strong that his power rivaled that of his former master Galactus. First he would have to destroy the new Herald Silver Surfer.
