Design/Colors & Paint:

In one of his videos, FormBX257 showed that Hasbro had some promotional material for the Tiger Shark featuring a mock-up of Torpedo in TF colors. Not much of the figure was visible, as it was sitting in the cockpit of the Tiger Shark, but it was a starting point. Torpedo's dive hood was yellow-orange, but I went with yellow for my contrast against the skin tone. Medium blue played well against the yellow, with light grey for the straps/holster/sheath and slate for the weights/pistol/knife. Plus green for the stripes.

I didn't have enough Torpedo parts to put together a proper one, but used the replacement parts of from Wetsuit and Action Sailor, and they more than get the job done

The sculpting on the eyes of the Torpedo head is atrocious. Until I saw it under a layer of paint, which obscured the thick and fuzzy Hasbro eye paint, I never realized how badly sculpted they were. Like two warped and droopy eggs popping out of the head, not even level with each other. By painting where they eyes should be, instead of where they were sculpted, I was able to salvage the otherwise fantastic sculpt.

My best guess is that the sculptor (Ron Rudat?) was trying to give a vague effect that the eyes were visibly distorted as seen behind the scuba lens, but who knows.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The shoulder/elbow rivets and thigh screw insets are epoxy smoothed.

Without an ARAH Torpedo backpack, I had to make do with a 25A one- which was missing its canisters, so they were replaced with push mold copies from an existing one. The back peg was lowered and widened. The highest part of the backpack was thinned down as to not hit the back of the head.

Thanks for looking.
