Character:

Beaver was the kayak-piloting member of Action Force's SAS division.

Design:

Palitoy recycled the same several bodies and heads over and over to make new characters. Here I've used Indiana Jones, Shark Tank, and Jonny Quest parts to expand and alter Beaver's design a bit. The Scrap Iron vest is a decent PFD (personal flotation device) stand-in. The top of the Shipwreck head maintains the stocking cap while adding a goatee.

This is a figure that built itself, as the body came together while parting together different customs. It's mostly junkparts, but well framed by the Scrap Iron vest. The Jonny Quest figures are technically in 1:18 scale, but don't quite stylistically line up with GI Joe. But the herringbone sculpt work on the high-pulled socks is something to commend Galoob for.

Colors & Paint:

Based on the black/yellow color set of the Palitoy figure, plus some grey and green thrown in to distinguish it from the mostly black spread of my The Bad Guys customs.

Sculpting & Modifying:

The gap between the torso and the vest was packed and edged with epoxy to create the appearance that the vest is a PFD.

The arms were glued below the shoulders and epoxied/bulked up with epoxy. Same for the legs below the hip sockets. The thigh screw insets were filled with epoxy and smoothed.

The upper leg pouches are push molds. The pouches wouldn't really work for someone in a kayak, but they figure needs them to look complete.

Thanks for looking.
