Crowbar started his military career as a Combat Engineer with the Seabees before being recruited by G.I. Joe. Crowbar and his trusty Bobcat can often be found near the front lines performing military engineering tasks in support of G.I. Joes' combat operations. Often working alongside Tollbooth and the Bridge layer Crowbar uses his Bobcat to help build roads, bridges, fortifications, and anything else the Joe's need to keep troops and supplies moving against Cobra.
