As a commando with ninja training and a long history with Special Forces, Snake Eyes is by far the deadliest member of G.I. Joe. Scarred and muted in one of the earliest Joe team missions by sacrificing himself to save Scarlet. Disguised as Flint he is captured and brought to Dr. Mindbender and the Brain Wave Scanner. Stripped of all his weapons, only the Arishakage ninja Zen Trance and the devotion of his friends can save him.

With training in martial arts and intelligence, Scarlet has a deadly combination of looks, smarts, and skills. When spy plane photos reveal Cobra captured Snake Eyes, she reaches out to the only person who can help her, Storm Shadow. Taking different approaches they are successful in freeing Snake Eyes from Dr. Mindbender by using their skills together.

After Dr. Mindbender chastises the Dreadnoks for trying to serve pizza, Serpentor recalls a memory from one of his cloned pasts. As a Propaetor at the Roman siege of Alesia in 52 BC, Serpentor's men were losing morale because the siege was dragging on too long. On tour of the Legion's encampment, he came across a signifier who came up with a recipe to salvage the stale pita rations. Word of this was quickly spread and the Legion was victorious. Dr. Mindbender asks in disbelief if pizza was the reason for the victory. Serpentor replies, "No! Of course not. It was just a random memory."
