Banzai was recruited into Ninja Force just prior to it's dissolution. He was trained by the Soft Master whom he met after attempting to rob his bodega in New York City. The Master saw something in the boy and began his training in the martial arts. Soon though, the Soft Master left to continue his search for his brother's murderer and Banzai's training was left unfinished. Banzai sought out other teachers and continued to learn, forming his own hodgepodge form of fighting. Certain aspects of his form marked him as an Arashikage student however, and he was spotted at a tournament by Nunchuck. Through him he was introduced to Storm Shadow who recruited Banzai into Ninja Force. Soon after however, Storm Shadow was captured by Cobra, and Ninja Force disbanded. Since then, Banzai has spent his time wandering and fighting in order to further hone his abilities.
I really wanted to give him both a removable mask and the ability to swap his ponytail for loose hair. I managed it, but the long hair needs more work before I want to show it to anyone. Banzai is one of those tail end characters that's never really been used. Part of that is the color scheme, so I ditched the neon purple. No idea what a Rising Sun Ninja is, so I tried to give that some basis in reality by painting the mask the way I did. Moving the sheath for his sword to his back was inspired both by his card art and practicality. The setup of the original figure would make it totally impossible for him to draw his sword (or knife, or whatever that was on his chest.
