Black Dragon is easily one of the most enduring characters in G.I.Joe Extreme after head baddie Iron Klaw. Although his real name is Chinese, the toy sported blonde hair, so he must like to dye it. (Interestingly enough, Black Dragon was voiced by a Chinese voice actor in the cartoon)
His original, very brief bio describes him as such: "The ultimate ninja warrior and stealth missions expert...works best at night, using a sharpened sixth sense to track the enemy...rarely speaks-when he does, people listen."
The cartoon went a different direction, however, and made him a much more chatterbox-y version of Snake-Eyes.
One can't help but wonder what'd happen if the two teamed up.

I'd made a Black Dragon custom before, using the ROC City Strike Duke's body and POC Temple Guardian Snake-Eyes's head... but it was both not black enough for someone codenamed Black Dragon, and the head was too caucasian-looking for someone named Kang Chi Lee.
I decided to remake it, and try to adhere to the features the original toy sported. Rescue Mission Snake-Eyes was a good enough starting point, and I already had a spare, but the legs would have to go. I chose Jet Storm Cycle Snake-Eyes' legs, being recycled from the Paris Pursuit version, because they sported the hip gear that matched the original Black Dragon nicely. The head was the hardest thing to choose, I weighed my options and scoured every store I could and ultimately settled on POC Storm Shadow's. I wanted to give him a belt with an H-shaped belt buckle like the original toy had, and the Reactive Armor body provided one with just that. For the accessories, the original Extreme figure had gold swords, nunchaku and a spinny thingy, while in the cartoon he used a bo staff. I split the difference down the middle and gave him two gold swords and a bo staff.
