John "Broadside" Unkart, grew up on the Chesapeake Bay as the son of a waterman. He often skipped school to spend days on the water crabbing and fishing in his little aluminum boat. He sold his catch to locals for less than market value and used the money to buy gear and a little outboard engine. When he turned 18 he joined the Navy and went to the Naval Academy in nearby Annapolis, MD. After several years captaining a Cyclone-class Patrol ship, he was recruited by GI Joe due to perfect service records and passed their grueling training process with relative ease. He and Cutter get along well despite the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Oriole rivalry. They actually have quite a bit of fun with it during baseball season.

Nothing unusual here, the Orioles symbol is a waterslide decal and the rest is just a straightforward custom. I glued a knife sheath on the right thigh to hide the hole that was there for the gun attachment.
