When Cobra started to capture and restore JUMP packs, it was presumed they would use them all for tactical purposes. Instead, Cobra Commander had them all restored for his own personal use, primarily for quick getaways.

More than once has a Joe been within shooting distance of taking the Commander down, only to have him high tail it out of there in dramatic fashion. The Commander enjoys these getaways so much, that some of his personal guard have begun to suspect he sets them up on purpose.

Those armored legs really make for some limited choices, but pushed me to make a Commander custom. The arms compared to the torso convinced me a vest or coat would be needed. Initially I thought maybe arctic CC, but decided that this type of coat would also make sense for exposure to the elements while riding high in the sky. The armored legs I decided fit better for a jet pack scenario, so I then painted to fit the theme.
