During World War II a group of soldiers for hire known as Vipers battled on both sides of the conflict. They were the footsoldiers of a secret group whose sole intention was worldwide anarchy. The Vipers worked behind the scenes to keep the war going and on the battlefield leading troops into battle. It was only the surprising development of the atom bomb by the United States that ended the war and ended the Vipers plans for worldwide chaos. They disappeared after the the war and have not been heard from again though there are some that believe that they have merely chosen a new guise and continue to sow the seeds of unrest throughout the world.
