Falcon takes pride in being a green beret, he also takes pride in leading the GI Joe team. He's considered a rogue by many military and political leaders, but his leadership and exceptional courage make him the perfect man to battle Cobra. He's armed with knowledge and experienced earned from over 2 decades of fighting Cobra. He's always led from the front; Falcon issues very few orders without the words "Follow Me."
Started off knowing that I wanted to give Falcon a beard and long salt and pepper hair, as if George Clooney would play him in a movie. The gray is meant to show age and maturity, while the youthful Channing Tatum face would show vitality. I used the Duke vest so I could mimic the neckerchief of the original, also it is pretty much a blank canvas for attaching pouches and such. I tried to play off of the jungle tiger stripe camo of the Vietnam era by reversing the black color and then striping it with grays and greens of various shades. I ruined my first paint job by trying to sculpt a removable beret with Sculpey Flex, small bits of it smeared onto the face and changed the color. I eventually covered the face in plastic wrap and used greenstuff directly on top of it.
