The military forces for the C.O.R.P.S.E. project. Troopers are selected from the Cobra ranks for their mental stability and potential to withstand intense psychological trauma. They undergo a rigorous and ruthless training process designed to dull their emotional reactions. The result is a group of well-disciplined soldiers who follow orders without question and have little regard for their own safety. Unsurprisingly, the turn-over rate is astronomically high.
These guys had been sitting around in a half-finished form for a long time before this project was announced. I had gotten a bunch of the Resolute troopers from a fellow JoeCustoms member (I've forgotten who, but thanks!) and had already done some of the labor, but had no idea what I wanted to do with them. Once the C.O.R.P.S.E. concept was thrown out there, I thought they'd be perfect for what I was trying to do: the color scheme was a good fit and the coats gave them a bit of a throw-back fascist feel. I chose the heads because I thought they looked a little on the creepy side, with their lack of anything resembling human features, and because I thought they would be practical for someone going into weird dimensions and long-forgotten tombs. I made 10 of them for the project, but I have enough parts for four more if I can round up some more Viper boots.
From left to right in the second picture, that's a standard trooper, flamethrower, heavy machine gunner, and sergeant.
