Sources indicate that Crystal Ball (real identity unknown) was recruited out of East Germany by the KGB to attend the Stalingrad Institute of Higher Learning. Extensive research was conducted on his telekinetic and telepathic powers. At the same time, he was being educated in the spy craft by the very best agents.

Very little is known of his actions leading up to the downfall of the U.S.S.R.. Rumors insist he played a role in the Iran Contra affair. Hard evidence of this showing the extent of his involvement has not surfaced.

Crystal Ball's name does not reappear until the U.S. invasion of Panama (Operation Just Cause) in 1989. He was working for President Manuel Noriega and the other leaders of the South American drug cartels. He was able to evade the ensuing manhunt and escape with reportedly one hundred million dollars $100,000,000 US) in stolen drug money. The U.S., and separately, the drug cartel, placed a bounty on his head that has still not produced any results.

Recent developments have only now lead us to believe he entered the employment of the Cobra terrorist organization. His current role is unknown but interrogation of captured Cobra cell members has lead to several speculations. It is believed he could possibly have his hands in several Cobra operations in one form or another. Some firmly believe he is an ominous consultant for the Commander himself. Others believe he is mentoring an engineered squadron of telekinetic/telepathic super spies with his own KGB training. One thing is for certain, he is a friend to whoever our enemies have been. Crystal Ball must be apprehended and stopped.
