With the only hereditary master of the Arashikage unwilling to accept leadership of the clan, and without a clear successor, the remaining members of the clan devised a contest. The ninja willing to accept the mantle of leader would each be given a coin, and sent out into the world. They were to use all of their skill and cunning to find and kill the other participants, with the last person standing gaining leadership of the clan. The contest was conducted in this way so that the true identity of the new master would be unknown, even to his brethren, so that the relationships of his old life would not affect his leadership. It is also the reason why he never exposes his face to his clansman. Freed from his past he is dedicated to restoring the power and honor of the Arashikage, no matter who may stand in his path.
I'm a Sigma Six fan, and I really liked this design. Unfortunately the poor performance of S6 means we probably won't be getting any of those designs in other formats, as much as I might want them. So, I decided to make my own 25th format Dark Ninja Master. Not entirely happy with the paint, but I can live with it. He also fits rather well into a story idea I've been toying with, minus the mystical aspects of his backstory anyway.
