Deep Six

Deep Six's response to a question from a fellow Joe diver: Why am I wearing a Cobra Diver suit? Because Cobra has always had highly advanced Dive gear and submersible equipment. Look at the Bugg and the Hammerhead, we can't compete with those. Cobra, being a covert terrorist organization has always found that hiding under the water is an extremely efficient way of operating without detection, and has invested great expense into perfecting deep sea technology in their bases, subs, and dive gear. Now I am not saying that our dive technology is bad, it's not, it's good. It's just that theirs is really good. After the Cobra Civil War and the invasion, I requested permission from Hawk to conduct salvage operations where whathisname, the stealth pilot dude (I never can remember his name), sunk a couple of Cobra Buggs on his run into the Island. We were able to bring back a lot of the wreckage from almost one and a half Buggs, and have been able to reverse engineered it quite a bit. While you will never see a Bugg with tiger stripes on it, there was enough left to put together a functioning suit. This thing is awesome, super flexible, not cumbersome, almost perfectly neutrally buoyant in the water, well insulated, has a HUD projection on the faceplate and highly efficient air scrubbers that are so good we think they were used on their Space Shuttle.

If Tiger Force can used capture Cobra aircraft and vehicles, why not a captured diver suit? Well, I needed a pilot for the Tiger Raider, and Deep six was a good choice, of course, the Yellow and black of the Secto Viper screamed for tiger stripes. My only regret, is not having a Secto viper gun for him. Thanks to my wife who helped out with the tiger stripes.
