Before launging any raids on Headhunter facilities, the DEF drone is deployed to scout the area for possible exit routes, identify strength of force, and locate any possible civilians that may be put in harms way. During raids, the drone acts as an additional communications relay and observation command "eye in the sky". It can also act as crowd control and dispersement. It is armed with day/night cameras, a FLIR thermal camera (Forward Looking Infrared), parabolic long range microphone, megaphone, gas grenade launchers, and a non-lethal rubber bullet firing mini-gun. It can launch from the ground or be thrown into the air or off a building. Despite being light enough to be carried in one hand, it can lift 120 pounds of cargo easily.

This came together very quickly. On the way home from work I was reading an article about a police drone that was being used to observe large crowds around sporting events. By complete coincidence my headphone ear buds broke and my pen ran out of ink earlier in the day. So when I got home and dug around for parts, I built everything else around that camera. I had it completely pieced together and was drafting an about/bio for it in bed that night before drifting off to sleep.
