Although he is the least often seen of the original seven ADVENTURE TEAM members, the AT Astronaut has a history of exploits that predates most of his colleagues. In his early teens, the future Astronaut successfully landed a piper cub when the small craft's pilot suffered a heart attack. Nearly two decades later, as the highest scoring trainee in the Apollo astronaut program, he was given the opportunity to "wash out" of NASA. This enabled him to take part in a space program that would never make headlines and never grace the pages of the history books.
While he would never officially walk on the moon, the Astronaut preceded all of his fellow Apollo trainees into space, including piloting numerous flights in a small orbital craft based upon reverse engineered CLASSIFIED technology. In April of 1970, it was this craft that the Astronaut employed, without permission, to aid NASA crew members facing near certain death. There are very limited career opportunities for an Astronaut with no resume, particularly one dismissed for stealing a spacecraft that does not exist. It was fortunate for him that the Commander was hiring.

Commander's Notes: "Uncharacteristically quiet and understated for a pilot. Perpetually calm, unwaveringly precise, technically the best pilot we have. I often wonder what it would take to rattle this guy."
Needed to finish up my original 7 AT members, and he was the last to do.
