Cobra Commander wanted a vehicle that could be easily deployed in the cities, carry troops, and move faster than any Hiss tank in history. Scrap Iron was tasked with modifying the mothballed Hiss 4, which only saw use for two years before being replaced again. Stripping the vehicle of overly heavy armaments, and replacing them with lighter weight machine guns was the first start. After that, he retrofitted the heavy shell of the tank with a combination of lightweight steel, Composites, new ceramics and glass fittings, dropping enough weight to make the vehicle as light as the Rage.
The vehicle was then equipped with an experimental engine stolen from one of the nation's top truck manufacturer, which Scrap Iron tinkered with.
During initial testing the Hiss showed a considerable drop in 0-60 mph times from the old 9.2 seconds on the stock Hiss down to 5.7 seconds with the new engine.
The Strike Vipers are recruited from the big city street racing scenes.
I wanted to try to make the Hiss with more guns than cannon's, one that looked a little more like an urban assault tank rather than a battlefield tank.
Alot of paint here and there, and added the guns on the side, and built the guns on top out of random parts. the mount for the top is a Mauler wheel with a peg though it, attached to the gun.
I dull coated it and then left it outside and it rained, getting it kind of dirty. I left it dirty, I thought it added to the look.
