Rookie cop Leon Kennedy was assigned to the Raccoon City Police Department fresh from the police academy. His training never prepared him for what he'd encounter next. Making his escape along with Claire Redfield and Sherry Birkin, the group is picked up by a "clean-up crew" supervising the U.S. Military's sterilization of Raccoon City. His experience with the T-Virus creations made him a top choice for the newly formed anti-Umbrella task force created by the U.S. Government. This team will operate alongside the GI Joe team in order to stop the growing threat Umbrella poses not only to the United States, but to humankind...

I've always wanted to incorporate the Resident Evil games into my Joeverse. While I had planned on making a line of Resident Evil customs, this group project gave me the perfect opportunity to start. Leon was an easy choice for my first video game character. We know from the later Resident Evil games that Leon becomes an agent for the U.S. Govt., but there's never much explained about what he does or who he works for. As such, I decided the agency he works with would be GI Joe.
