Lifeline grew up in Nazi controlled America. His family had a fairly high status because they were white blue eyed blondes. He always helped those less fortunate than others like his best friend Kyle Jesso. His parents had been supporters of the Nazi cause even before America was conquered. Lifeline did not share this enthusiasm.

This all changed when his parents were killed in an act of terrorism. One of the first agents of Cobra destroyed a building where Lifeline's family was vacationing. They were all covered in rubble. Lifeline's parents were killed. He knew that if the medics had come faster then his parents would have survived. When he joined the medic forces he revolutionized their speed of response.

In one routine mission Lifeline ran into his old friend, Kyle Jesso, who was now calling himself Budo. When they fought, Budo slammed a sword into Lifeline's eye blinding him in that eye. For that, Lifeline has sworn revenge.
