Subject was born on Belfast's notorious Shankhill Road at a time in Northern Ireland's history when bombs were a more common feature on new cars than AM/FM stereos. He was initiated into the UDF* by his own father at age twelve and had knee-capped his first Catholic by age fourteen. By age seventeen subject had, by most reports, over twenty kills under his belt and was personally leading raids on the homes of suspected IRA affiliates.

Despite his early successes, subject soon grew tired of the organization's "self-righteous propagandizing" and often complained of a pronounced lack of discipline and organization among its members. At nineteen he left the UDF and enlisted with the British military where he quickly worked his way into the SAS. With the SAS he found the sort of discipline and focus he desired, but after a routine psyche evaluation identified him as "dangerously amoral" he was unceremoniously discharged.

However, that same quality that disqualified him from the service of her majesty was the exact quality that qualified him as eligible for service in the ranks of James McCullen Destro's Iron Grenadiers.

Though we believe subject retains his position among Destro's crew, he has recently been linked to activities involving the mercenary saboteur known only as Firefly.

Excerpts from Mr. Destro's personnel files:
"Much has been said of the increased range of attack in modern warfare. The ideal in modern combat is to maintain as large a distance from your opponent as possible while remaining within the kill-zone. Indeed, a rare thing it is in this day and age for a soldier to actually see, with his own unaided eye, the men he kills.

"In many ways, MacManus is a student of an older school. He believes in combat as an intimate affair. He does not merely see his opponent, he looks into their eyes, he smells their breath, he feels their fear. He kills without mercy, he kills without remorse, but he does not kill without honour."

Subject is qualified expert in all NATO and Warsaw Pact small arms. He is also well trained in various forms of hand-to-hand combat.

Subject also keeps and breeds pigeons.
