Mainframe was born into Nazi wealth and had all the finer things in life, including the latest in electronics and gadgets growing up. Never a dull moment as a child and teen, as he was always tearing apart his toys and
father's machines to see how they work. Being as smart as he is caught the eyes of the Nazi's when he was in college, and they soon had him working on their new modified weapons program, creating new and fantastic weapons of destruction.

After a few years of working for the Nazi's, Mainframe decided to break out on his own and pick up arms dealing, supplying weapons to whomever needed them, making himself even more money. This did not sit well with the Reich, whom confronted him and told him he would have one chance to return to a secret installation known as Area 51 to restart the modified weapons program, or he would be labeled a traitor and shot. He had 1 week to return.

On his way back to area 51, he was caught in an attack on Cobra forces outside Las Vegas. He picked up a weapon to help fight them off, but him and some other Nazi members were pinned down. They had a firefight that lasted several hours, until one Nazi came up with the idea to draw the Cobra's out, sending a little boy in between where they were fighting. On the other side, the Cobra's could not stand to watch the little boy wander into the middle of a firefight, and one brave Cobra, Sneak-peek, rushed out to save him. Mainframe watched as the Nazi's unloaded on him, gunning him, and an innocent little boy down, with the weapons he helped create.
