I have always liked the Corps line. They always made a great compatible alternative to the Joes and their vehicles. I was researching on knock off figures and found a review of Night Lazer on the Joeaday website. Once I saw the picture, I knew this was the custom that I wanted to make. Because the figure concept is older, a lot of the electronics on the original figure are rather huge. That was why I went with the helmet, backpack and rifle that I chose. They represent a modern compact take on Night Lazer. Oddly enough, the original color is bright yellow which is not very stealthy but maybe that opens up a chance for me to do a V2.

OK. Even though the base was all Blowtorch, I had to do a lot of cutting and sanding of the body armor. It was my intention to give it a smooth texture. I used a micro drill to carve out a hole in the packpack. I was looking around for a cable when I lucked onto an old pair of headphones. The headphone cord was a perfect fit for both the original laser rifle and modified backpack. Finally, I had to dremel the head cast to fit right.
