Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom

When a fleeing Viper entered a sewer pipe, he found himself warped to the Mushroom Kingdom. The Viper returned to Cobra Island and reported his discovery to the Commander, who led a mission back to the kingdom, where he was greeted by Bowswer, King of the Koopas, a rival to the Mushroom Kingdom's ruling family. Bowser and the Commander struck an arrangement, where Bowser would give the Commander access to his Goomba and Koopa troopers if he could remove the one person who could thwart Bowser's plans, Mario Mario, champion plumber of the kingdom.

Utilizing a Night Creeper team, Mario was captured and an elite Koopa squad was sent to attack Washington DC. A GI Joe recon team followed the Koopas back to the kingdom, where they met Peach, the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. The Joe team agreed to aid the Princess is rescuing Mario and repeling Bowser's hordes.
