Dane is an accomplished marksman, having won several Naval marksmanship competitions as well as civilian events. He has seen action in both Iraq conflicts as well as a variety of classified operations. Dane's expertise as a sniper make him a valuable asset in covert operations. His affable personality and attention-seeking behavior while off-duty are in stark contrast to the serious, intelligent soldier he is in the field.

These guys were a lot of fun. I had been planning some SEALs in dive suits for years, and this project gave me an excuse to make them. They're fairly similar figures, construction-wise, so I tried to differentiate them by giving them slightly different color palettes and gear. I also wanted them to have land equipment so they could do something other than swim around.

Oh, and the Floyd Dane character is taken from the film Navy SEALs. I'm not a big fan of the movie, but for some reason I liked the idea of a figure based on Bill Paxton's character from the film. I needed a sniper, I had a head with a mustache, and I like Bill Paxton a lot; one thing led to another.
