Named for Admiral Dyson, one of two general officers who died defending the PIT against a Cobra attack (Marvel #53), the SSN Dyson serves in adjunct capacity to the GI Joe team. When the Joes need a submarine insertion for a mission, the Dyson and its commanding officer, Cmdr. Squint, get the call. The Dyson (SSN 231) is a Seawolf-class nuclear submarine using the longer, 453 foot profile, and is equipped with drydeck shelters and other improvements to support special operations missions.

Originally, I wanted to do a crew quarters as the third item, but once I got into construction, I realized that I just would not have the room to support that as well. So, I built out the main entry instead. Sadly, I was only able to find one crusader hatch (I'm not inclined to cannibalize my Defiant for the lefthand hatch :) ), plus, as yet I do not have an acceptable design for the torpedo storage, so those remain works in progress.
