The Mara needed a captain, and Shippy couldn't go out in his cableknit sweater and cap for the stately tall ship; he needed his classic 'swabbie' blues.

I added a bit of putty to the bottom of the legs, to make them more like floor-flushers. The majority of the work is in the head. I sanded down the watch cap and gave him the 'Hair Club for Figures' treatment.

I tried to recreate Shippy's rank insignia and tattoo as best I could; I placed the insignia on the left arm instead of the right because real USN uniforms, from what I could research online, wore the rank on that side.
