Info: Laird Destro Potato, commander of SPUD (Supreme Potatoes United for D estruction), is in charge of providing interchangeable plastic weaponry to the highest bidder. For years, his family has sold munitions to either side in war. One of his ancestors was charged with selling weapons to the enemy and as punishment had his potatoey plastic flesh encased in metal. Now the current Destro Potato continues the tradition and wears a metal mask.

Construction notes: After reading that there would be another contest, I thought that a Mr. Potato Head was an out there idea that might work. After coming up with what type of figure to customize, I had to figure out which character to do. I thought that Destro had the most recognizable head so I chose him. I know a Destro figure won last year, and that almost stopped me until I realized that you can never have too many of our favorite arms dealer.

To make the actual figure I just used a basic Mr. Potato Head and spray painted it. To make the cowl I took a piece of plastic packaging from a turtle figure, cut it and painted it. It was actually a fairly simple process and I think I may try to make some other characters.
