That’s cool that it made it. It seemed like there should be 5000 Star Wars fans with deep enough pockets.

I'm still going back and forth. I think this is one the wife would never forgive me for.

My wife actually insisted that I get it because she did not want to see me be disappointed in the future if I didn't have it :)

I really do have the best wife!

I just can't scrape up the scratch for it in time. For future projects I hope they either give several months' advance warning or allow for 'lay away' payments.

I thought there was an installment plan option- 100 over 5 months?

I just remember the Retroblasting guy complaining about it in his video about the project.

This is a $2.5 million project at 5000 backers. Two Point Five Million Dollars. At a minimum. That should tell you something about either 1) their production costs, 2) their profit margins or both.

You've got to think since 5000 backers at $500 each was required for it to go forward, that $2.5 million would cover all production costs and at least a little profit. Anything over the required 5000 backers should be pure profit. As of now, there are 7,055 backers, equaling $1,027,500.00 of profit. Not bad.

I just wonder how much of that $500 goes straight to Disney. As far as raw plastic goes, this thing is probably more comparable to the Terrordrome than the Flagg, but DANG I wonder how much of a factor Disney's cut is.

You've got to figure that a 'Drome would cost less not only because it was an in-house product, but because of multiple parts reuse. How is the Flagg on unique vs reuses? But how many of those would sell? The joe fandom is smaller. How many GIJCC sets sell per year?
